James William Adams, Jr., age 80, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at his home.

Born July 25, 1943, in Laurens, SC, he was the son of the late Dr. James William Adams, Sr. and Lou Ester McMahan Adams.

James was a graduate of Furman University and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked in manufacturing for 34 years. He was avid reader who also enjoyed golfing. He loved all things technology and considered himself a "techie". He took pride in his yard and always had the best yard in the neighborhood. He was faithful to his church and worked with the sound system. His nightly ritual was to read a book at bedtime while enjoying his Oreos and milk. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Boe Adams; daughters, Julie Hawkins (Rickey) and Jamie Few (Jason); brothers, Charles Adams (Mary) and Manley Adams (Jackie); grandchildren, Roger Hawkins (Bonnie), Reece Hawkins, and Cole Few; and great grandson Jack Wesley Hawkins.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. J. Chris Fischer officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church fellowship hall beginning at 10:00 am.
