January 11, 1946 - March 20, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. James Fletcher Barnes, Jr., age 61 of 121 Olivarri Drive, Anderson, SC and husband of Wanda Blume Barnes, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on January 11, 1946, Mr. Barnes was the son of the late James Fletcher Barnes and Martha Fant Barnes. He was a graduate of T. L. Hanna High School and was a retiree of the United States National Guard with 20 years of service. He retired from Ryobi and BACE Technologies and was a member of the Belton Gun Club and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Barnes was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and had attended Concord Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Blume Barnes of the home; son, James F. Barnes III of Anderson; step-daughters, Crystal Fountain and Heather Pilgrim, both of Anderson; sister, Whitney Barnes Williams of Tucker, GA and seven grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Don Cox.
