James David Brewster, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born November 2, 1942, in Anderson, he was the son of the late James Thomas Brewster and Mary Fowler Brewster. He was the devoted husband of Frances Mattie Lou Eskew Brewster for 57 years until her death in August 2020. James was a graduate of McDuffie High School and a veteran of both the United States Navy and Army. He retired from Michelin after 30 years of faithful service with the company. He was a member of Bethany World Outreach Center. He is survived by his son, Tommy Brewster (Jenny) of Anderson, SC; daughter, Annette Dial (J.C.) of Augusta, GA; sisters, Carolyn Ballard and Shirley Dove both of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Justin Brewster (Heather), James "Robbie" White (Ashley), Eddie Sloan (Angela), and Travis Sloan (Tabitha); and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Browning and Patricia Mitchell. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 2, 2022, from noon until 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Pastor Ricky Knight officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Flowers are welcomed. The family will be at the residence.
