King, Sr., and Nell Burden King. He graduated from Anderson Boys' High School and Clemson University, where he also played on the football team. Mr. King was the owner of Home Financial Services. He served on the board of directors for Centerville Fire Department and was a member of North Anderson Baptist Church where he attended the Good News Class. He was an avid outdoorsman, who was also a member of the Goff Swamp Hunting & Fishing Club.Survivors include his wife, Beth Brissey King, of the home; children: Jay Sloan and wife, Marci, of Anderson, Joye Clardy and husband, Randy, of Pendleton, and Jim King; brother, William A. 'Billy' King and wife, Leslie, of Reno, NV; sisters: Frances King Blizzard and husband, Sonny, of Columbia, and Nancy King Rabon and husband, Ricky, of Lugoff; seven grandchildren: Riley Powell, Tyler Sloan, Bree Sloan, Bode Sloan, Zane Clardy, Caitlyn Clardy, and Brittney Porter; and a great grandchild, Greyson Powell.In addition to his parents, his sister, Betty Ann King, predeceased him.A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at North Anderson Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Bill Rigsby.
