He was a former employee of Mt. Vernon Mills Williamston Plant for 16 years and was currently employed with Glen Raven Mill. He enjoyed going to auctions and fishing and attended Landmark Freewill Baptist Church.Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are, his daughter, Briana Charles; brother, James Melvin Charles, Jr. of Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Kathy Chapman of Abbeville.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Danny Keen and Reverend Bill Bryant.
