JAMES E. COOK May 1, 1943 - July 18, 2013 ANDERSON, SC James Elliott Cook, age 70, of Honea Path, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Orangeburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Christopher Elliott Cook and the late Essie Lou Davis Cook. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a truck driver for many years, having worked for several trucking companies. James was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by three sisters, Mary Ellen McMichael, of Anderson, SC, Bettye Burns, of Sunrise, FL and Gloria Ellis, of Anderson, SC; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Wade Cook; and a brother, WD "Bill" Cook. The Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 11:30 AM with Reverend Dave Menzel officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
