Crisp of 207 Mayfield Drive, Anderson, SC, died Friday, October 27, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Stecoah, NC, Mr. Crisp was a son of the late Enoch Crisp and the late Lela C. Crisp. He was a retired electrician with Abney Mills with thirty years of service. He was a well-known local steel guitarist. Mr. Crisp was of the Baptist faith and was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Crisp and his children, Terry Crisp of Nashville, TN, Toni Shaw, David Crisp, Donna Siders, Tracey Nix and Deborah King, all of Anderson, SC; brothers, Walter Crisp, Howard Crisp and Ray Crisp, all of North Carolina; sisters, Virginia Braswell, Catherine Draughn and Evelyn Wilbanks, all of North Carolina. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Oliver and Floyd Crisp.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverends Bill Rigsby and Tab Scarborough.
