James Carl Fleeman, 90, of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. Born April 14, 1927 in Dooley County, GA, he was a son of the late James Ezra Fleeman and the late Onie Flora Ray Fleeman. James was an excellent carpenter and a great cabinet maker. He was responsible for several beautiful homes in Anderson. He was a member of High Praises and a man of God for 63 years. He dearly loved his family and grandchildren and had many friends. He was happily married to his wife for 69 years, Beatrice Miller Fleeman. He is also survived by his daughter, Shelby F. Nixon (Thomas) of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Julia N. Turpen (Kevin) and Eric A. Nixon (Jorgina); great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Williamson, Cameron Turpen, Logan Turpen and Samora Nixon; great-great grandchildren, Brantley Williamson, Abel Williamson and Jayce Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Aaron and Owen Fleeman and sisters, Eula Mae Hayes and Louise Thornton. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am- 12:00 pm Friday, January 26, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. A service will follow in the chapel at 12:30 pm with Rev. Chris Sustar officiating.
