James "Jimmy" William Ginn, age 65, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on December 12, 1950, he was the son of Bonnie Sue Williams Evans and the late Paul Ginn. He was a retired site services supervisor with Duke Energy for 45 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Thrasher Ginn; his step-father, Lucky Evans; two sons, Mike Ginn and his wife Kathy, and Matt Ginn and his wife Anna, all of Anderson; two brothers, Doug Ginn and his wife Sheila, of Anderson, SC and Gary Ginn and his wife Karen, of Lexington, SC; and three grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, and Caleb Ginn. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Marcaurelle officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Veterans Mausoleum. The family will receive friends, prior to the service on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
