JIM HELTON October 14, 1941-April 17, 2006HARTWELL, GAMr. James Willard Helton, 64, husband of Alma Faye Driver Helton of 1841 Nancy Hart School Road, died Monday, April 17, 2006 at his residence.Born in Dalton, GA on October 14, 1941, Mr. Helton was the son of the late Roy Helton and Estelle Roach Helton. He was employed by Lowe's of Anderson and served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid golfer and member of the Falcons Lair Golf Club. He attended Gethsemane Baptist Temple.Survivors include his wife, Alma Faye Driver Helton of the home; sons, James Wesley Helton of Chattanooga, TN, William Rob Helton and his wife, Natalie of Murfreesboro, TN and their son, Christian Helton; three step-children and ten step grandchildren also survive.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Sam Duncan and Howard Smith. Interment will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens, Dalton, GA at 2:00 pm Friday, April 21, 2006.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 6-9 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
