James Pressley Moore, age 67, of Anderson, SC, passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, following a courageous battle with Covid-19.
Born July 10, 1954, in Clover, SC, he was the son of the late John Randolph Moore, Sr. and Ruby Black Moore. Jim was a graduate of Clover High School and relocated to Anderson, SC, in 1982 to pursue a career as an Electrician. He graduated from Greenville Technical College and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Glen Raven Mills with over 20 years of service with the company.
Jim truly had a servant heart and enjoyed helping anyone that he could. He will be fondly remembered as a loving partner, father, grandfather, and uncle. He thoroughly enjoyed Clemson football and loved to also attend Clover High School football games with his fianc.
He is survived by his fianc, Linda Lawson; children, Anthony Lee Moore and Joy Moore of Clover, SC; Brenton R Connolly of Lake Wylie, SC; Kristen Moore Hanks and Bob Hanks of Anderson, SC; Kimberly A Moore of York, SC; Angela Marie Weaver and Marcus Weaver of Pickens, SC; grandchildren, Hayden Lovelace, Skyler Moore, Noah Moore, Bailee Wells, Haylee Wells, Christian Burns, Zachary Burns, and Samuel Burns; sister-in-law, Sandra Webb Moore; soon-to-be family, Angela and Robert Kellett of Clover, SC; Anita Pocci of Clover, SC; Justin and Courtney Parker of York, SC. He is also loved by many nieces and nephews, as well as many others not listed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, John Randolph Moore, Jr.; Jerry Dean Moore, Sr.; and Richard David Moore, Sr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McFall's Landing, 1625 Broadway Lake Rd, Anderson, SC 29621, on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 2pm-4pm.
