Kim Johnson of 352 Knollwood Drive, Anderson, SC, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on May 4, 1941, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Albert Sidney Johnson and Geneva Kay Johnson. He was retired from the United States Army with 21 years of service. He was a Vietnam Veteran and worked in the Pentagon from 1971 to 1978. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Chonge Suk Kim Johnson of the home; a son, Jimmy Johnson of the home; two daughters, Myong 'Jennifer' Kim of Boston, MA and Susan Findley of Williamston, SC; brothers, Harold S. Johnson of Anderson, SC, Charles D. Johnson of Starr, SC; sisters, Norma Jean Samples of Clinton, SC, Dorothy Bolt of Anderson, SC and Velma Furr of Aiken, SC; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, Jimmy and Bobby Johnson and three sisters, Audrey Louise Johnson, Mary Baker Johnson and Lucy Brown.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by Dr. Tony Smith and the Reverend Tom Turner. Interment will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.The family will receive friends at funeral home on Friday, January 13, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.
