James Ralph McBride, age 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at his home.

Born August 20, 1928, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late James Otis McBride and the late Fannie Mae Lawton McBride. He was also preceded in death by a son, James M. McBride; brother, Ray H. McBride; and sisters, Nancy Gail McBride, Sudie Louise Ertzberger, Maebelle Latham, and Bonnie Lou Chambers. Mr. McBride retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Mr. McBride enjoyed anything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, gardening, and adventuring on his four-wheeler, were a few of his hobbies. The best times though were spent surrounded by his family. He loved his Church, and he loved his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila M. Haynie (Keith); son, Roger D. McBride; sister, Pearline Bobo; grandchildren, Krystal Beeks (John), Travis Haynie (Jessica), Russell McBride (Michelle) and Slade McBride (Lauren); and great-grandchildren, Parker, Katie, and Sarah Beeks, Ivy and Evan Haynie, Chandler McBride and Aaliyah Grace McBride.

A service will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating.
