He was a graduate of Clemson University and served in the United States Navy. He was retired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.Survivors include a son, James Norman McGill, III and his wife, Aimee; a sister, Patricia McGill Jordan and her husband, Dr. Henry Jordan and two grandchildren, all of Anderson, SC.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral officiated by the Reverends Michael Kinard and James R. McClure.
