MedlinApril 28, 1933 - September 27, 2008STARR, SCMr. James Harry Medlin, age 75 of 112 Indian Branch Road, Starr, SC, died September 27, 2008 at his residence.Born, April 28, 1933, James was a son to Lola Hawkins Medlin of Six Mile, SC and the late Glen James Medlin. James served his country by retiring from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. He then worked for Ryobi America Corp until his retirement. He was of the Church of God faith.He is survived by two sons, Darrow Kay and his wife Janet, and Roger Kay and Brenda, all of Anderson, SC; two daughters, Sandy Cobb and her husband Ricky of Starr, SC and Jean Tinsley and her husband Nick of Anderson, SC; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, John L. Medlin and his wife Ruth Ann of Sebring, FL; several nieces and nephews; and long time special friends Retha, Tonya, and Myron Aycock.Mr. Medlin was preceded in death by his father, his first wife, Marsha Medlin, his second wife, Helen Ruth Blakley Medlin, a brother, Lee A. Medlin, and an infant sister, Frances Medlin.The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 2:00pm with Reverend David Blizzard officiating.
