James Telford Mize Anderson, SC James Ted Mize, age 93, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home. Born in Banks County, GA, on November 22, 1920, he was the son of the late S.W. Mize and the late Monia Westbrooks Mize. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Ted retired from A.B. Roberts Constuction Company. He was a member of Dorchester Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Douglas Mize and his wife Cynthia, of Anderson, SC; one granddaughter, Stephanie Mize Bouknight and her husband Chris, of Anderson; and a great-granddaughter, Celeste Bouknight Griffin and her husband Christopher, of Anderson, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loneta Hayes Mize; and five brothers and three sisters. The Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Jerry Mize officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dorchester Baptist Church, 134 Dorchester Road, Belton, SC 29627.
