James Carroll Moore, age 86, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his home.

He was the son of the late, J.C. Moore and Irene Hale Moore Snipes. He was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

He was a Navy veteran and faithful member of Salem Baptist Church. He was retired from ELDECO, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Elaine O'Barr Moore; son, James Chadwick Moore; daughter, Sherri Elaine Moore Burts (Jerry); siblings, Butch Moore, Barbara Moore, and Kathleen Wilkes; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. Charles Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 1325 Salem Church Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
