FLEMINGDECEMBER 13, 1920 - OctoBER 27, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Mr. James 'Jabo' Oscar Fleming, age 89, of 2602 Lindale Road and husband of the late Eleanor Evangeline Phillips Fleming, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at The Bridge Assisted Living of North Charleston.Born in Anderson County on December 13, 1920, he was a son of the late Morrett Fleming and Irene Bolt Fleming. He was a graduate of Anderson Boys' High School. Mr. Fleming retired after forty-two years from Duke Power as a meter reader and supervisor. He was a member of the Anderson Elks Lodge, joining in 1964, and also served several terms as secretary. Additionally, he was a member of the Anderson Moose Lodge, joining in 1984; a member of the Mauldin Chapter of the Hejaz Shriners; and was a Mason. Mr. Fleming was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church.Survivors include his daughter, Gail Fleming Darley and husband, Skip of Summerville; and two grandchildren: Russell Fleming Darley and wife, Renee, and Kathryn Darley Simpson and husband, Benjamin; and a great granddaughter, Julia Kathryn Darley.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, October 29, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Elwood Orr. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 1pm until 2pm on Friday.
