James Allen Powell, age 76, of Townville, SC, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Born May 7, 1949, in San Diego, CA, he was the son of the late Winfred Allen Powell and Freeda Bullard Brinkerhoff Powell. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dauneta "Donnie" Bullard.

James earned an Associate's Degree from Los Angeles City College and spent his career working in corporate security. He will be remembered for his humor and love of animals. He enjoyed his time outdoors and being hands-on with mechanical systems.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Chandler Powell; his children, Christopher Allen Powell (and wife Lacy) and Amanda Marie Heafy (and husband Ryan); grandchildren, Issabell Landaverde, Scarlett Campbell, Matilda Powell, Christopher Powell, Jr., Kenneth Powell, Chelsea Powell, Callum Heafy, soon to be grandson, Camden Heafy; and sisters, Jennie Johnson and Monique Schwartz.

No services will be held.
