He was a retired brick mason.He is survived by a sister, Lillian P. Blalock of Hartwell, GA and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thurman, Albert and Themer Powell and a sister, Kathleen Powell. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends John Daniel and Gary Stewart.
