James Hirman Richberg, 82, of Anderson, SC passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022.
Born November 9, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Margaret Fenimore Richberg and Rembert James Richberg. He moved around a lot and at 17 enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served for 4 years, received the Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged as a Corporal E-3.
After the Marines, he moved to Virginia and worked as a photographer for the US Government for 33 years. He was also a Boy Scout Leader, a Master Mason for over 50 years (including Past Master of Kemper Lodge #64), and a 33rd Degree member of the Scottish Rite where he served as Photographer, Class Director, and Webmaster for several years. In 1998 he moved the family to Anderson, SC to be closer to his wife Vicki's family.
Jim was predeceased by both of his parents and his granddaughter Emily Richberg.
A loving, kind, generous, supportive family man, he will be missed by many. He leaves behind his wife Vicki; sons Jim (Jennifer) Richberg, Ed (Connie) Richberg, and Mike (Alyssa) Richberg; daughters Katie Richberg and Rachel Richberg; his brother Mike Richberg; and his uncle Ike Fenimore, as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022 at Unity Presbyterian Church which is located at 2215 Highway 86, Piedmont, SC 29673. Visitation will be 10:00 - 10:45 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM.
