Obituary

James Rogers Sellers, (aka, Jimmy and J.R.), 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born September 14, 1930, in Aiken, SC, he was the son of the late Bruce Henry Sellers and Lois Rogers Sellers.

He was an avid Clemson fan who enjoyed faithfully cheering on his Tigers and loved to travel. He had a lifelong career of nearly 50 years as the executive vice president of the Wine and Spirits Co., Management and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. He was a happily married husband of 75 years to his wife, Jeri, and dearly loved his family.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to his caregivers from C3 Eldercare: Stephanie Giuliani, Director; Irina Viktorova, Jan Watson, Kim Richey, Janice Rice, and Mandy Morrah.

He is survived by his wife, Jeri Sellers; a daughter Sheila Cochrane (James Crowley); grandchildren, Scott (Katrinka) Cochrane and Matthew (Denise) Cochrane; great-grandchildren, Banks, Austin, Graham, Bennett and Laney Cochrane.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Father Jack Hardaway officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Sellers to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org.
