James W. Shaw, age 56, of Iva, SC, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born December 13, 1964, in Lowndesville, SC, he was a son of the late Weldon Shaw. Sonny spent his career as a carpenter and used those skills serving others with Campers on a Mission. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Iva where he was a part of the Brotherhood group. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Kimberley Jean South Shaw; sons, Shaun Evans of Long Beach, CA, Jon Evans (Rosie) of Yorba Linda, CA, Bill Evans of Long Beach, CA, and James Shaw (Sue) of Iva, SC; daughters, Jennifer Karls (Jesse) and Brittany Scotland (Marcus) both of Iva, SC; brothers, Benson Shaw and Robert Shaw (Kelly) both of Iva, SC; sisters, Debbie Campbell (James) of Abbeville, SC, Mandy Burton (Tim) of Iva, SC, and Anne Shaw (Tom) of Abbeville, SC; grandchildren, Allie Evans, Madison Karls, Danny Evans, Christian Shaw, Weldon Shaw, Suanna Shaw, and Christopher Evans. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Shaw. The family will receive friends Friday, September 17, 2021, from noon to 1:45 pm at First Baptist Church of Iva. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Lowndesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campers on a Mission, Attn: Ken Hall, P.O.
