James T. Sorrells Arlington, GA James Truett Sorrells, age 79, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014, in Edison, GA. Born in Westminster, SC, he was the son of the late Ernest Richard Sorrells and the late Clema Leo Smith Sorrells. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. James was a retired manager with Deer Run Plantation. He enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Kimbrel Sorrells; a son, Rickey Lamar Sorrells, of Easley, SC; a step-son, Michael Farris, of Columbus, GA; a step-daughter, Tracy Wingate, of Arlington, GA; four sisters, Ruby Holder, of Six Mile, SC, Dot Masters, of Charlotte, NC, Mary Reid, of Six Mile, SC and Martha Durham, of Six Mile, SC; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Sosby Sorrells; and a brother, Herman Sorrells. The Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service.
