Born in Anderson County, SC on February 14, 1935, Mr. Strickland was a son of Clara Bell Stone Strickland and the late Homer Rex Strickland. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas.Survivors include his wife of the home; daughter, Sandy Seymore and her husband, Barry of Anderson; mother, Clara Bell Stone Strickland of Anderson; brother, Sammy Strickland of Ebenezer Community; grandson, Byran Seymore and his wife, Hope and granddaughter, Melody Seymore, all of Anderson.In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Mary Ellen Branyon and brothers, Harris, Billy and Jerry Strickland.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 10 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Mr. Harry Osborne. Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm in M. J.
