James Earl Swift, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Paoli, IN, on February 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Elvet Earl Swift and the late Bonnie Combs Poole. He earned an Associate's degree in Machine Technology at Tri County Technical College and was employed with General Electric where he retired after more than 38 years of service. He loved the time he spent on his motorcycle with his fellow bikers. He is survived by two sons, Brad Swift and Jason Earl Swift, both of Anderson; a brother, Robert Gene Poole, of Anderson; a sister, Patricia Cheatham, of Anderson, SC; and two grandchildren, Greyson and Ava Swift. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Beryl Rosenberger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
