JAMES E. "JIMMY" THOMPSON, JR. June 14, 1946 - October 12, 2012 ANDERSON, SC James Edward Thompson, Jr., age 66, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Helen Margaret Thompson of Easley and the late James E. Thompson, Sr. He was a graduate of Carolina High School in Greenville, SC. In addition to his work, he enjoyed Lake Hartwell and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Stanley Thompson and his wife Tammi, James "Jed" Thompson and his wife Laura, and Jeff Thompson and his wife Carissa all of Anderson; sisters, Judy Whitmore and her husband Wayne of Easley and Susan Williams and her husband Thomas of Piedmont; and his grandchildren. The family wishes to thank their father's very close and endearing friend, Sylvia for her relationship she had with James. The Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Dickson officiating. Interment will follow at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from Noon until 1:30 pm. The family will be at their respective homes.
