JAMES ROBERT VAUGHN October 31, 1928 - March 29, 2006ROYSTON, GAMr. James Robert Vaughn, age 77, husband of Louise Vaughn of 41 Bakers Road, Royston, GA, died March 30, 2006 at his residence.Born in Madison County, GA on October 31, 1928, Mr. Vaughn was the son of the late James Watson 'Jack' Vaughn and Jewell Patton Vaughn. He was a retired fireman with 40 years of service. He served in the United States Marine Corps; was a member of New Hope Worship Center in Danielsville, GA and a charter member of McDuffie Street Church of God.In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by daughters, Roni Burton of Royston, GA and Debra Jones of Anderson, SC; a son, Douglas Vaughn, of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert Mitchell Vaughn.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. David Paxton. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 31, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
