James David "Jim" White, age 76, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Southern Oaks Residential. Born in Anderson County on May 3, 1940, he was a son of the late Ralph W. White and the late Idell Crain White. Jim was a retired banker and a member of Liberty First Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Melba Adams White, of the home; a son, Phillip White and his wife Nancy, of Anderson, SC; two daughters, Angela Hankins and her husband Greg, of Honea Path, SC and Michelle Waldrop and her husband Brandon, of Fair Play, SC; four brothers, Roy White, of Anderson, SC, Mike White, of Anderson, SC, Richard White, of Greer, SC, and Doug White, of Fair Play, SC; four grandchildren, Matthew Hankins, Colin Anderson, Seth Hankins, and Brayden Waldrop; and two great-grandchildren, Addie and Lawson Hankins. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, prior to the service on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home.
