James Clifford Whitt, age 82, of Williamston, SC, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born May 12, 1939, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late David V. Whitt and Iris Mae Winstead Whitt. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, William and John Whitt; and sister, Lois Ann Whitt. James was the last surviving member of his immediately family. James was retired from the State of South Carolina and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dorothy McGee Whitt. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dalton Fowler officiating.
