The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARY DEPUTY SHERIFF MIKE WILLIAMS July 13, 1956 - September 4, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. James Michael 'Mike' Williams, age 52 of 1401 Grady Hall Road, passed away on Thursday, September 04, 2008 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on July 13, 1956, Mr. Williams was the son of the late Norman Carl Williams and Margaret Beebe Williams. He was a 1974 graduate of McDuffie High School and was presently an officer with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, also served with the City of Anderson Police Department. He served the people of Anderson County for over 30 years and instrumental in developing the Anderson County Dive Team. He was a Mason and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Williams was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include his sons, Chris Williams of Greenville and Jon Williams and his fianc', Michelle Ramsey and daughter, Kayla Williams. He was also survived by his girl friend, Frieda Hughes, all of Anderson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Ann Williams.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend C. W. Hicks and Rodney Harbin.
