Linda Jane "Baby Jane" Browning Brown, passed into the Heavenly Portals of Glory to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 16, 2023, at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson. Jane was born on November 10, 1946, in Anderson, SC to the late Coley Browning and Easter Smith Browning Brucke. Jane was a faithful member of Long Branch Baptist Church on Highway 413 in Anderson where she was a member of the Circle of Friends Sunday School Class. Jane dearly loved her church, her family, and her Long Branch Church family as well as Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jane worked at Anderson Memorial Hospital as an operating room technician, Owens Corning Fiberglas Anderson Factory D, West Point Pepperell Wellington Mill, Blair Mills and Belton-Honea Path High School. She was at one time active in Cub Scouts as a Cub Master and Den Mother earning the coveted Wood Badge. She was a 1964 graduate of Crescent High School and a 1986 graduate of Tri County Technical College with an Associate Degree in Industrial Management-Textile Management. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Tim Brown of Honea Path; children, Scott (Jodi) Burdette of Anderson, Amy (Brian) Wilson of Belton, and Rhonda (Robert) Galbreath of Liberty. She is also survived by one brother, John Robert "Buddy" Browning of Gaffney; and grandchildren, Jacob Wilson of Honea Path, Chase Galbreath of Liberty, Hannah Wilson of Anderson, Matthew Burdette of Anderson, Madison Burdette of Anderson, and Jamin Wilson of Belton. Jane was predeceased by her parents; stepfather, Albert Brucke; in laws, Joseph and Martha Brown; brothers, Dendy Sloan "Snake" Browning, Eugene Major "Tooty" Browning, and Jake Roger Browning; and sisters-in-law, Shirley and Kathryn Browning. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Atkins and Rev. Wayne Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jane's honor to Long Branch Baptist Church, 1400 Milford Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
