Jane Hutchins Dyar, age 80, of Anderson, SC, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 19, 1946, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late F. J. Hutchins, Sr. and the late Virginia Howell Hutchins. She shared forty-eight beautiful years with her late husband Cecil Dyar. Together here on earth, they shared unending memories and are now reunited for eternity.
Jane was a hardworking individual who worked at BellSouth Telephone and alongside her husband, Cecil, at Anderson Steel and Pallet. Her compassionate heart and professional skill led her to serve as the nurse administrator at Ellengburg Nursing Home, where she brought comfort and care to countless individuals.
She was deeply rooted in her faith and she was an actively involved member of the River of Life Church. She served in nearly every capacity imaginable. Whether she was assisting in ministry, lifting her voice in singing, bringing companionship to church shut-ins, or ministering to nursing home residents, Jane's presence was a source of light and encouragement. Beyond her work and church, Jane loved bringing joy to others. Her lively spirit shone brightly through her participation in the Anderson Senior Follies and the South Carolina State Church of God Senior Choir. She was also a valued member of the Woodmen of the World organization.
Jane will be missed but forever remembered as a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and grandmother, and a faithful servant whose deep love touched everyone she met.
She was the proud mother of Tim Bolt (Tammy) and Jim Bolt, of Anderson, SC and Reverend Paul Dyar (Kim) of Maryville, TN, the late Diane Fulton (Jim), Rev. Dale Dyar (Teresa), Phyllis Bolt (Jack), and David Dyar (Rachel). Her legacy lives on through cherished grandchildren, Alicia Barrett, Josh Barrett (Stephanie), Jarrod Dyar (Taylor), Jordan Dyar (Ammie), Haley Sapp (Andrew), Kevin Bolt (Gina), Kayla Ammons (Mark), Brandon Bolt (Mindy), Samantha Clardy (Logan), Amanda Moss (Jim), Jennifer Burdette (Jeff), Kasey Bolt (Patrick), Matthew Bolt (Haley), Grace Bolt, Anna Beard (Joey), Wesley Dyar (Makinley), Eli Dyar, and Jaden Dyar. She was also blessed with numerous great grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind her brothers Jim Hutchins (Kathy) and Van Hutchins (Niecee), and twin sister Jean Brewer (Don).
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 12:00 noon with Rev. Paul Dyar and Rev. Dale Dyar officiating at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
