Jane E. Wilson, age 94, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late Harry M. Wilson, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House. Jane grew up in New Zion, SC. She was the daughter of E. Rembert Evans and Claudia Holliday Evans. Jane graduated from Columbia College(1949) with a BA in English. She taught in Blythewood, Honea Path, and Belton during the course of her career which spanned 28 years. Among the joys of her life were the lifelong friendships with her students. Central to Jane's life was her Christian faith. She grew up in Midway Presbyterian Church and maintained close ties there throughout her life. She was a faithful member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Anderson. A delight of her life were the friendships she had with her church family. Jane was a prayer warrior and sought to live her life guided by Biblical principles. In addition to her parents and husband, Jane was predeceased by her brother, E. Rembert (Ed) Evans, Jr. and her sister, Ann Evans Linder. Jane is survived by her daughter, Claudia Wilson Robbins and her husband, Richard; her grandchildren, Kate Robbins Rotan and her husband, Lee, and Matt Robbins and his wife, Jenny; her great-grandchildren: Archer, Ashton (Toni), Anden, Joseph, and Izabella; her great-great grandchildren, Sawyer and Grayson. A service celebrating her life will be held at New Covenant Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. with Dr. David Rountree and Dr. Mark Burchette officiating with visitation to follow.
