CRAWFORD July 25, 1920 - May 30, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Jan Crawford, age 85 of 1223 Westgate Drive, Anderson, wife of the late Paul C. Crawford, US Navy Ret'd, died on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Kenova, West Virginia on July 25, 1920, Mrs. Crawford was a daughter of the late Edwin L. Stein and Carrie C. Stein. She graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School and attended the Huntington Business College in Huntington, West Virginia. She was employed with the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC before her marriage to Mr. Crawford. She was a volunteer with the Prison Fellowship at the Perry Correctional Institute at Pelzer, SC as a Bible teacher for twenty years. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and Sunday School teacher for the Rainbow Class.She is survived by a son, Barry L. Crawford, of Columbia, SC; daughter, Carol J. Crawford of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Jerie Crawford Stone and Randy Scott Crawford, both of Anderson, SC and two great-grandsons.Addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers. The Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Friday, June 2, 2006 at New Prospect Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Tony Smith and Rev. Tom Turner. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until Noon. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Carol Crawford, 513 Pioneer Lane, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
