Janet Iva Deal, age 87, passed away on November 5, 2021, at The Garden House, Anderson, SC. Born in East Liverpool, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles Robinson and the late Janet Barr Robinson. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jan was a loving mother and homemaker. She traveled to all fifty states with her husband Bob Deal on numerous road trips. They loved to tell stories of how they traveled the blue roads experiencing the sites and monuments across the country. Jan was an avid genealogist and had traced her family back to the 1600's with records and photography that she proudly displayed. She is survived by a son, Robert Charles Deal, of Oakland, CA; two daughters, Wynn Anne Stone and her husband Jeff, of Westminster, MD; Lindsay Janet Dohmen and her husband Sean, of Anderson, SC; a sister, Anne Kirkbride of East Liverpool, OH; and three grandchildren, Jacob Dohmen and his spouse Brooke Daitchman, of Chicago, IL, Rachel Nicole Filemyr-Tonui and her husband Leonard Tonui, of Owings Mill, MD, and Brittany Wynn Volkmer, of Rockville, MD. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Victor Deal, son Todd Deal and a grandson, Todd Adam Smith.
