Janice Gayle Parlier Bruce, 68, loving wife of Lee Bruce, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Boone, NC, on November 5, 1949, Gayle was the daughter of the late Hade Monroe Parlier and Reba Norris Parlier. Gayle and her husband owned and operated Bruce's Upholstery and Fabrics for 30 years. She attended Marshall Road Church of God. In addition to her husband, Lee, Gayle is survived by her children Brian Bruce (Amanda) of Anderson, Mike Smith of Boone, NC, and Sonia Bruce Masterson (Scott) of Greenwood; and four grandchildren, Caden Smith, Bradlee and Brooklyn Masterson and Landen Bruce. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30 at 2:00p.m. with Pastor Nathan Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
