Janice Wright Gillespie, 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away, Monday January 11, 2021, at her home. Born July 31, 1939, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Grady Wright and Lena Honea Wright. She was the widow of Gerald David "Jerry" Gillespie. Janice was a graduate of Forrest College and formerly managed a women's Etienne Aigner retail store. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Anderson where she had previously served as the coordinator of the senior adults activities. Janice will be remembered by her family for all of the love and care she gave to them. She is survived by her sons, Michael David Gillespie, Gregory Neal Gillespie and Douglas Clark Gillespie; brother, Randall Neil Wright; grandchildren, Erin, Taylor and Davis; and her nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Josh Hunt officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Social distancing will be observed and masks are encouraged.
