JANICE WHITFIELD July 3, 1954 - April 24, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Janice Mattison Whitfield, 51 of 30 Old Trail Road, wife of the late Nathaniel Wayne Whitfield, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at her residence.Born in Laurens, SC on July 3, 1954, Mrs. Whitfield was the daughter of Edna Henderson Mattison of Anderson and the late Reverend James L. Mattison. She was a graduate of McDuffie High School and employed with Glen Raven Mills for more than 15 years. She was a member of West Anderson Church of God.Survivors include a son, Victor Freeman of Anderson; mother, Edna Henderson Mattison of Anderson; brothers, Curtis Mattison of Anderson and Eddie D. Mattison of Atlanta. A grandson, Austin Lee Freeman also survives her.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 11:00 am at West Anderson Church of God officiated by the Reverends Mark Daniels and Ricky Evans. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 from 6-8 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
