JANIE A. CHAPMAN June 24, 1947 - June 3, 2012 Janie A. Chapman, age 64, of 944 Boscobel Road, Anderson, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at AnMed Health with her loving husband of 30 years, Harry Allen Chapman, by her side. Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late James Hence Robinson and the late Virgie Campbell Robinson. Mrs. Chapman was a smash hand and held several other positions at the Mt. Vernon Industries Plant in LaFrance. She loved camping and the outdoors in general. She had a deep love for other people including her family, friends and strangers in need. In addition to her devoted husband of the residence, she is survived by a son, William Franklin Durham (Crystal) of Walhalla, SC; a step-daughter, Janet Marie Chapman (James) of Westminster, SC; a step-son, Allen Wayne Campbell of Anderson; a brother, Harry Robinson (Patricia) of Fair Play, SC; sisters, Brenda Hall (Steve) of Fair Play, Marlene Phylow (Gene) of Long Creek, SC, and Elizabeth McCall of Cannon GA; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by sons, Alton Steven Durham and James Herschel Durham; brothers, Buddy Robinson and William Robinson; sisters Patsy Kennedy and Ruth Tester. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Janie Chapman will be held at a later time to be announced by the family.
