Janie Ruth Dawkins Ebernickle, age 80, of Iva, SC, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Hart Care Center in Hartwell, GA. Born July 3, 1942, in Toccoa, GA she was a daughter of the late, Robert Henry Dawkins and Ruth Smith Camp. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Ebernickle; brothers, John and Glenn Dawkins and sister, Helen Glenn. Janie attended Girls High School and had along career in the food service industry. Janie was an excellent cook and loved to prepare meals for her family. She also played the piano and would play at church when needed. Her greatest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Lynn Hope (Richard) ; sons, Kenneth Ebernickle (Katrina), Terry Ebernickle and Eddie Ebernickle; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Roberts Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
