Jaynie Brooke Gassaway, age 44, of Anderson, SC, dedicated and loving mother to Brookelyn Addison Hunnicutt and Timothy Moyer Gassaway of the home, was ushered into her heavenly home on February 16, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends. Born July 22, 1978, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of Joyce Thomas Moyer and the late Timothy Gordon Gassaway. She was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Clyde and Bobbie Gassaway; maternal grandmother, Joyce Wallace Thomas; great grandfather, Henry Levi Thomas; and great grandmother, Janie Elizabeth Thomas whom she is named after. After graduating from T.L. Hanna High School, she attended Greenville Technical College. She worked as a registered nurse at NHC Healthcare Anderson for over 20 years where she had many co-workers she held dear to her heart as well as the residents at the facility. She attended North Anderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed shopping for family members, especially the "littles", nieces, nephew, and cousins and loved each of them fiercely. In addition to her cherished children, she is survived by her mother, Joyce Thomas Moyer; stepfather, Dwayne Moyer; brothers, Levi Moyer (Tristen), Elliott Moyer (Jennie), and Nick Moyer (Heather); maternal grandfather, Rev. Dick Thomas; aunts, Jan Winstead (Smitty), Robin Gassaway (Ronnie); nieces, Kylie Moyer, Sydney Young, and Charlotte Moyer; nephew Tyner Moyer; cousins, Savannah Hancock (Kegan), Ethan Ladd, Saylors Hancock, and Colt Ladd all of Anderson. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 1:30-3:00 pm at River of Life Church of God. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dale Dyar and Rev. Jordan Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest alongside her maternal grandmother. Flowers will be accepted.
