Marcus J.B. Brown, age 87, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Piedmont Post-Acute. Born January 18, 1935, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Clarence Brown and Mary Epps Brown. J.B. founded Brown Builders which he operated for over 25 years and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a hard working family man who loved the Lord, was a great reader of the Bible and a mighty prayer warrior. J.B. had a great sense of humor and was full of laughter. His family will remember him as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and caretaker of everyone. He was a member of High Praises Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Warnock Brown; sons, Mark Brown (Kim) and Randall Brown (Joy); brother, Harrison Brown (Pat); sister, Caroline Graham; and grandchildren, Kristin Brown, Kaylee Chambers (Jacob), Austin Brown (Rylea), and Jacob Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gaines Brown, Katherine Blackstock, Jewell Fowler, and Norman Brown. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Chris Sustar officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to High Praises Church, P.O.
