OBITUARYJ. B. Sartain, age 87, of 2236 Annandale Drive, Anderson, husband of the late Sara Edwards Sartain, died Friday, February 27, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Franklin County, Georgia, on September 20, 1921, he was a son of the late B.C. Sartain and Leila Dove Sartain. He was retired from Abney Mills and Baychem and was a member of Concord Baptist Church and the Don Latham Sunday School Class. He was a U.S. Army and Air Force Veteran and served during W.W. II.He is survived by his daughters, Sarah Taylor and her husband Buddy of Anderson, and Julia Davis of Anderson; grandchildren, Gina Simpson, LuCindy Posey and her husband Scott, Amanda Hooper and her husband Gerry, and Jonathan Davis and his wife Margaret. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; Laura Posey, Zachary Posey, Brent Hooper, Asheton Hooper, Cheyanne Davis and Leighla Davis. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny, Wilson, Watson and Doyle Sartain, sisters; Lizzie Eason, Rannie Lou Phillips, and Rosa Lee Hart; grandson, Robert Jay Davis and Grandson-In-Law, Roger Simpson.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Dr. Don R. Cox and Dr. Mark Hopkins. The Don Latham Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday March 2, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM The family will be at the home of Scott and LuCindy Posey 2500 Bellview Road, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
