ANDERSON, SC'Emma Jean Bishop, age 72, widow of Bobby Joe Bishop, of 1701 Preston Drive, Anderson, SC died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Anderson Area Medical Center.Born in Cherry Lane, PA on June 28, 1933, Mrs. Bishop was a daughter of the late William F. Fryer and the late Martha Cora Anthony Fryer. She was a former medical transcriptionist at Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital and Anderson Family Practice Center. She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and an active member of the Boosters Senior Group. She was currently a volunteer at Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital.Mrs. Bishop is survived by a son, Jeffrey Keith Bishop of Honea Path, SC; a daughter, Lynda Jean Matheson of Long Creek, SC; three brothers, Roy Fryer of Greensburg, PA, L.M. Fryer of Meadville, PA, and William F. Fryer, Jr. of Hurricane, WV; two sisters, Barbara Lyle of Tampa, FL, and Judy Shoup of Hendersonville, NC; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by a son, Roy M. Bishop; three brothers, Kenneth, Kerry, and Blaine Fryer; three sisters, Virginia Kilgore, Delores California, and June Baker; and a grandson, Jeffrey Keith Bishop, Jr.The family is at their respective homes.
