Norma Jean Bowlan, age 74, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Bowlan and the late Edna Bowlan Martin. She grew up in the upstate and remained living there her entire life

Jean graduated from Palmetto High School and later received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She held various positions in the medical field from a private physician's practice, mental health facility, local hospitals, school nurse, home health to nursing homes before retiring from the Greenville Hospital system. She was dedicated to her profession and helping others.
Jean loved her family and friends, hiking with a group in the upstate, dancing, music, big dogs, the color red and a fondness of fun hats.
She is survived by her daughter, Tara Seigler Wilson of Marietta, Georgia; and her son, Daron Shane Seigler (Robin) of Acworth, Georgia; and grandchildren, Braden, Devin, and Anna Grady Wilson and Emery and Aneliese Seigler. She is also survived by her sisters, Jimmie Cromer and Judy Joyner (Donnie) both of Anderson, South Carolina.
A private family service will be held Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home.
