Jean Ethridge Huckaby Anderson, SC Jean Ethridge Huckaby, age 86, of Airline Road, Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at her residence. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Dewey Ethridge and the late Edna L. Sassard Ethridge. Jean was an honor graduate of Girl's High. She retired from textiles, having worked for Milliken and Haynesworth Mills. She was an avid flower gardener and was a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church. She was the beloved mother of Lynn Smith and her husband Richard, Marsha Huckaby and Donna Huckaby, all of Anderson, SC; a brother, Walter Ethridge and his wife Ginger, of Hartwell, GA; a sister-in-law, Doris Ethridge; and three grandchildren, Brian, Michael and Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Russel Huckaby, a son, Michael T. Swaney; and two brothers, Tom and Raymond Ethridge; and a sister, Bobbie Jordan. The Graveside Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Frank Dooley and Reverend Paul Williams officiating.
