Shelba Jean Chastain Moore, age 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her home. Born October 6, 1938 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Clara Vaughn Chastain. She was married to William "Bill" Luther Moore until his death in 2016. Jean was a graduate of Girls High and was retired from Wamsutta. She was a former scout leader and member of the former Orrville Methodist Church where she served as the pianist. Jean loved playing the piano for her friends at the retirement center where it brought her so much joy. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vicki M. Evans and her husband, Wayne; daughter-in-law, Angie Moore; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory William Moore. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. The family will be at the residence.
