Laura Jean Weatherly Riggins, age 66, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at her home. Born July 28, 1955 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Weatherly and Reba Nell Manley. Jean was a graduate of Pendleton High School and enjoyed a successful career as a realtor. She never met a stranger and enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially to the beach. Jean loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Aaron Riggins (Lynn); daughter, Ilia Schumacher (Craig); brothers, Ronnie Weatherly, Robert "Buddy" Weatherly, Johnny Weatherly, and Randy Weatherly; sister, Jan W. Morgan; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Pendleton Center. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Duncan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way, Suite A, Greenville, SC 29615.
