JEANETTE M. BROOKSApril 26, 1931 - October 17, 2008BELTON, SCJeanette Mayfield Brooks, age 77, of 101 Star Drive passed away on Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on April 26, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Crayton Mayfield and Gertrude Williams Mayfield. She retired from the textiles industry at Orr-Lyons Mill and was of the Baptist faith.Survivors include a son, Mike Brooks and wife Darlene of Belton; daughters, Dianne B. Poston and husband Bill of Liberty, and Janice B. McElrath and husband Johnny of Belton; four grandchildren, Dwayne Mitchell of Belton, Leigh Galloway of Liberty, Michelle McElrath of Anderson, and Kevin Brooks of Spartanburg; four great grandchildren, Tyler McElrath, Jasemine McElrath, Sean McElrath, and Joleigh Galloway; brother, Bud Mayfield of Greenwood; and four sisters, Lillian Reed of Anderson, Mary Thackston of Douglas, GA, Helen Duncan of Doraville, GA, and Jo Ann Buckhaulter of Bainbridge, GA.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Clarence 'NC' Brooks and a sister, Hazel Cain.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, October 20, 2008 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Sam Duncan.
